The substitute for sustainable tomorrows

Ecoville was initiated with the vision of building a sustainable future and protecting the environment by revolutionizing the building and construction materials industry. What we are providing to the customers is a cost- effective substitute to real wood that is not only created with recycled plastic but is also a recyclable material itself thereby making the products environmentally-conscious.

Our goal is to shift the market from conventional materials like wood that potentially harm the environment to sustainable alternatives that are not only eco-friendly but also better in terms of performance.

What we have to offer

Recycled Plastic Lumber

Commonly known as plastic lumber, the product is also often referred to as ‘wood-like’ and is made using recycled plastic thereby helping in waste reduction. It is either made with recycled plastic entirely or recovered plastic mixed with other materials and can potentially be used as an alternative to wood, concrete and even metal. The product has several applications and is being increasingly used as a replacement to traditional building and furniture materials.

The Manufacturing Process

Recycled Plastic Lumber is commonly manufactured using the ‘Reverzer Process’ which is inclusive of the following steps:

Preparation

The plastic retrieved is first sorted into types and grades followed by a cleaning process. The plastic material is then grinded and converted into small flakes.

Extrusion

The flakes produced are homogenized and melted with heat and using intense pressure. The process is done using a rotating screw also called the extruder.

Formation

The molten mixture formed is first discharged and then created into a mould which is given a water bath to cool and the finished product is then ejected.

a) Extrusion (For Planks) The flakes produced are homogenized and melted with heat and using intense pressure. The process is done using a rotating screw also called the extruder

b) Compression (For Boards) Carrier plate with formed material is transferred from spreading unit to hot press & then to cold press using lifts & cages

The final product is recyclable and is produced by recycling plastic waste thereby helping save the environment. As an energy-efficient and eco-friendly brand, we also ensure that the entire production process is environmentally sound.

The material of the future

All Ecoville products are beneficial to the community and serve a greater purpose. Here’s how:

  • Since the products have low long-term maintenance costs, they save the purchasers a lot of money.
  • It significantly decreases the amount of plastic waste in landfills thereby helping local bodies achieve their target of reducing landfill disposal.
  • It opens up a new avenue for business and increases employment opportunities by providing work to skilled and unskilled workers, carpenters and rag pickers.
  • It causes a sizeable reduction in wood waste.
